Music 101 on Tuesdays

(3rd - 8th, 2:30 - 3:30)

Step into a world where melodies spark magic, lyrics tell stories, and every beat holds a new possibility. In Music 101, students will dive into the exciting universe of music creation—from writing their own songs and exploring their voice to learning how songs are built, produced, and shared with the world.

Guitar On Thursdays

(3rd - 8th, 2:30 - 3:30)

Strum into guitar with a fun, no-sheet-music approach. Students learn the essentials: open chord shapes, rhythm/strumming patterns, finger-picking fundamentals, and easy songs using tabs. We’ll focus on solid technique, timing, and confidence—so learners can play along to real music fast, jam with classmates, and build fundamental guitar skills by the end of the session.

Film & Acting on Tuesdays

(K - 8th, 3:30 - 4:15)

Lights, camera, creativity! Makers of all ages pitch ideas, storyboard, and act in front of the camera—plus try crew roles (director, camera, sound). Shoot on phones/tablets, edit in iMovie/CapCut, add titles & music, and premiere your mini-movie!

Art & Creativity on Fridays

(K - 8th, 3:30 - 4:15)

A playful makers class centered on imaginative expression through drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, and more. We use guided prompts and quick demos plus generous open studio time, so students explore ideas, experiment with materials, and create with confidence—without the pressure of perfection. All supplies provided (dress for mess!).

Imagination Yoga on Tuesdays

(K - 8th, 3:30 - 4:15)

A vibrant movement class where stories come to life! We turn adventures into poses—sneaky cats, soaring eagles, brave mountains—mixing creative flow, expression, and play. Kids build flexibility, balance, and confidence while collaborating on imaginative mini-quests and games. Light mindful moments help us reset, but the focus is story-driven movement. Everyone leaves energized, proud, and excited for the next chapter.

"Aedan (Adn Jay) was awesome! I may have overwhelmed him at first with too many kids (it seems bribing kids with snacks worked a little too well), but he handled the crowd with ease. The group thinned out by the end of the program and now we have a good core group of kids who are excited to work with him and write songs together this month. He was very calm, collected and seemed to enjoy the chaos that happens with 9 eleven-year-old kids who had just spent an entire day sitting in class. He was awesome, please let him know we're happy to have him inspire kids any way he can. His music is impressive too! The kids loved it. I will for sure spread the word to the other branches if they would like to have you send him to other libraries for similar programs. Partnering with music experts that can work with kids is really valuable!"
